Puttur, July 10: Strong suspicions have arisen over the death of a real estate business man in a road accident, that he might have been murdered.
The dead body of Uppinangady based 40 year old Shahul Hameed, who was residing in a rented house in Sampya, was found lying on the ground alongside the his motorbike at Kemmai hamlet in Chikkamadnoor village on Saturday. It was presumed that he might have been killed after hitting a tree while moving from Uppinangady to Sampya.
However there are no marks of injury on his body except on his nose.
Persons who knew the deceased closely are of the suspicion that professional enmity might have led to the murder of Hameed, who had several dealings including real estate business.
Fake ID card
It is said that while examining the body police found a fake identity card of Zee Kannada Channel Puttur reporter in the pockets of Shahul Hameed.
Meanwhile, Zee Kannada channel has clarified that it had no correspondent in Puttur called Shahul Hameed.
Puttur Traffic Police has launched an investigation after registering a case.
