Addressing the gathering, chief guest of the evening KS Imthiyaz Ahmed, President, KMES Institute, Karkala, said that Zakath (Charity) should be distributed in a way that more and more needy people should get benefited out of it. This can be done only with the help of organizations such as MMCT, he said.
Adding to his points, second guest of the evening Mr. Mohammed Ali, Proprietor, Abbas Mills, shared his view on charity.
On the occasion, MMCT distributed cash price and a memento to meritorious students from around Moodbidri as an encouragement. Students of Rotary English Medium School, Muhammadiya English Medium School, Jain High School, St. Thomas School and Babu Rajendra Prasad High School were awarded.
The trust also distributed school bags and umbrellas to the students up to Class IV of Kotebagilu Urdu School.
The programme commenced with the recitation of the verses of Qur'an by Mohammed Ghouse. President Noor Muhammad Kuber welcomed the gathering with his introduction speech on MMCT, and explanation on Charity. It was followed by the Secretary Report from General Secretary of the Trust Syed Nayaz. Founder member of the Trust, Shaikh Abdul Gafoor, proposed vote of thanks.
The function was compered by Sahil Zaheer. Vice-president of the trust Syed Rafeeq, Treasurer of MMCT Syed Saleem, Trustees Matin, Irshad and others were present.
