Hundreds attend ITI conselling

Mangalore, July 15: More than 300 students and their parents attended a workshop at Kadri ITI on the first of day of counseling conducted by the Industrial Training Institute on Thursday.

Students opted for various regular courses such as radio, TV, motor mechanic, fitter, turner machinist, electronic mechanic and for refrigeration, air conditioning and auto mobile sectors.

The counselling was held according to the marks secured by the candidates in their SSLC examination.

Balakrishna A, Nodal Officer for the Conselling and Principal of Kadri Hills ITI said that as many as 1,300 applications have been received for admissions to five government-run it is in Kadri and Urwa in Mangalore taluk and one each in Bantwal, Puttur and Belthangady. There were 922 seats in all, he said.

The counseling will continue till Saturday.
