Traditional dishes spice up Billava Sangha's 'Atidonji Dina'

Mangalore, July 17: Atidonji Dina, an annual ritual was celebrated under the auspices of Billava Sangha, Urwa-Ashoknagar, here, on Sunday with traditional vigor.

Githa Nayak, Deputy Mayor, Mangalore City Corporation and Chandrashekhar Suvarna of Suvarna Arts, Mulky, together inaugurated the special event by lighting the lamp and making noodles using 'seme mane' or traditional noodles making machine.

They also tasted the special dishes prepared by the women members of Billava Sangha.

Little children enthralled the gathering through their marvelous cultural performance on the occasion.

Dr B G Suvarna and B P Harish Kumar, both Honorary Presidents of Sangha, K Ishwar Salian, President, and other office bearers including Nagesh Karkera, Shailesh Kumar, B Shrinivas, Ishwar Poojary were present among others.
