Mangalore, August 3: Bahrain is all set to host the two-day 8th World Kannada Cultural Convention 2011 for the second time from September 29. Organized by Kannada Sangha Bahrain and city-based Hrudayavahini monthly, the convention aims to bring children of Non-Resident Indian Kannadigas outside India closer to their language, literature and culture and provide platform for local artists to mingle with their counterparts settled in Bahrain.
The convention will be marked by kavighosti, hasya ghosti, madhyama ghosti, non-resident-Kannadiga ghosti and other cultural programmes such as bharathanatyam, dance drama, Yakshagana and music.
