Kalladka, August 14: "Doctor is my guide throughout three decades of my political career. I always follow doctor's advice before taking any major decisions. I also called doctor when the party high command proposed my name for the CM's post. It was doctor, who instilled confidence in me to accept the hot seat at a time when the entire state was facing political instability," said chief minister D V Sadananda Gowda said on his maiden visit to his home district after the swearing in ceremony.
In fact, the doctor whom the chief minister was referring to was none other than Dr Kalladka Prabhakar Bhat, who is RSS Dakshina Bharath Karyavah. Gowda, who arrived in Mangalore at 8.15am, visited the house of Bhat at Kalladka after addressing party workers in Mangalore at around 11.10am. He touched the feet of Bhat and his wife Kamala Bhat.
The Bhats offered sweets and fruits to Gowda and his wife Datty Gowda. "I will not take the wrong the path to achieve goals. I will always follow the guidelines of elders in the party," Gowda said, addressing students at Sri Rama High School in Kalladka.
Bhat said that the new chief minister will implement the development schemes started by former chief minister B S Yeddyurappa. Gowda has more responsibility in a scenario where Hindus in the nation are being attacked from various corners, he added.
