Mangalore, August 15: Chief Minister D V Sadananda Gowda urged the Bharatiya Janata Party workers to strive hard to win all eight Assembly seats in Dakshina Kannada in the next Assembly election.
Addressing party workers at the district office of the BJP, here on Sunday, he said that they need not worry about the internal bickering and pressures within the party as he was capable to manage it. “I will manage the government in a democratic way,” he added.
Pointing out that Dakshina Kannada had laid the foundation for the BJP coming to power in the State, Mr Gowda recalled the services of senior leaders such as Karamballi Sanjeeva Shetty, K. Rama Bhat and K. Rukmayya Poojary and others who built the party in the district. “Now it was time for strengthen the party further in the district,” he said.
