Mangalore, September 13: The viscera of Abdul Salam (55), whose body was found at Manikatta forest about 20 km away from Kumta town, has been sent to Forensic Sciences Laboratory, Bangalore on Monday. The post mortem was conducted at Kumta Government hospital late on Sunday night.
Salaam, a resident of Bhatkal, was the vice-president of Jali Gram Panchayat. He went missing on September 6 and his body was found on Sunday. Police said Salaam had gone to Sirsi to make a real estate deal along with some persons.
Police are investigating his land deals and the persons involved in the trade for a breakthrough. The deceased had also taken large amounts of cash along with him. He was buried on Sunday night iteslf.
