Udupi, September 17: Without changing the mindset of the society, it is impossible to prevent atrocities on women, according to Kannada novelist Sara Aboobakar.

Seaking at a novel releasing function organised by Abhinaya Pratishtana here on Saturday, she said that we can create a healthy society where man cannot subjugate woman, only through awareness.

The writer pointed out that despite the modernisation, there are still women who go to the extent of justifying man's atrocity.

Calling upon the enlightened people, especially educated women, to raise voice against all kinds of atrocities against women, Ms Aboobakar reiterated that any revolution is not possible without women themselves stand up to change their fate.

On the occasion, Kannada novel “Padarugalu” written by writer Sharada Bhat, was released by Administrative Officer of Academy of General Education H Shantharam.
