Bangalore, September 20: Chief Minister D V Sadananda Gowda has said that the State Cabinet would soon take a decision on demand of the Christian community to withdraw the cases registered against Christian youth in Mangalore and Udupi in the aftermath of serial attack on places of worship in 2008.
The CM assured the delegation of the office-bearers of Federation of Konkani Catholic Associations (FKCA) led by its Chairman Valerian Fernandes, called on him in Bangalore on Tuesday that his Government has already processed the file and taken necessary steps in this regard.
Mr Gowda also said the Government will increase the financial allocation for the Christian Development Board from the Rs 50 crore announced by his predecessor this year to Rs 100 crore next year.
