Mangalore, September 22: M N Rajendra Kumar was unanimously re-elected president of South Canara District Central Cooperative (SCDCC) Bank on Wednesday for the eighth consecutive term.
Kumar was elected at the board meeting of the newly elected board of directors chaired by senior director Niranjan Bhavanthabettu.
Kumar, who was first elected president of the Bank in 1994, has been at the helm of affairs of the bank for the past 17 years.
The bank opened several new branches during his tenure. The bank's vital financial indicators have all shown a growth since 1994, a press release stated and added that all the branches of the bank have been computerised.
The bank has introduced niche services such as ATM, mobile banking and so on.
The board also elected Vinay Kumar Soorinje as the vice-president on the occasion.
