Mangalore, October 1: Teachers like the musical chords with multiple notes. They create music out of the raw material entrusted to their care, said Fr Clement Mascarenhas, Principal of St Sebastian Pre University College Permannur. The chief guest was speaking at the St Aloysius B.Ed. College Annual Day celebration, here on Friday.
Fr Mascarenhas lauded the efforts of teachers in shaping the young minds. He also exhorted the B.Ed students of St Aloysius College of Education to commit themselves to the cause of effective education.
In presidential address, Fr Joseph Rodrigues SJ, Rector of St Aloysius College Institutions compared teachers to lamps who light the lives of students.
The three rank holders - including Sr Irene Crasta who secured the fourth rank- of the last year's annual exams conducted by the Mangalore University were felicitated by dignitaries on dais.
The formal program was followed by a lively cultural program by the students of B.Ed.
