Udupi, October 15: Former Chief Minister B S Yeddyurappa would soon come out clean, according to State BJP President K S Eshwarappa.
Replying to media on the arrest warrant issued to former CM, Eshwarappa said that he was only an accused and not a convict.
“Those in the opposition party who make allegations against Yeddyurappa should know that they were too in the glass house and should not pelt stones at the others” he said.
Mr Eshwarappa went on to allege that former Lokayukta Santhosh Hegde, in his report on illegal mining, has protected the interests of former chief ministers SM Krishna, Dharam Singh and HD Kumaraswamy.
He said that the government had asked the Lokayukta to investigate in to the illegal mining from 2000-2010 and submit a report. But he had only submitted a report pertaining to illegal mining in the last two years, thereby protected the interests of the opposition.
On the occasion Mr Eshwarappa also flagged off 'Namma Ratha Yatra', a publicity vehicle to promote the motives of the Advani's Rath Yathra, launched by Udupi District BJP Yuva Morcha, headed by its president Vilas Nayak.
