Kasaragod, October 19: Four persons were arrested by Police in connection the alleged attack on the Kasaragod district office of the DYFI in Vidyanagar around 9 pm on Tuesday night.
According to the DYFI activists the attack took place during the power outage, said the police.
The arrested are T A Abdul Rahman,26, of B C Road, T A Zafarulla,23, of Eruthinkadavu, Mohammed Rafi,21, and K Ismail,26.
Police said the accused who came in a car stoned the DYFI office in Vidayanagar. The DYFI activists who were in the office during the time informed the police who blocked all the escape routes of the miscreants.
The car in which the miscreants traveled was located in Eruthumkadavu. The police also recovered the banner of the CPM convention which was stolen by the gang from Vidyanagar.
The DYFI activists took out a march in the town in protest against the incident.
The police, however, refused to reveal the identity of the miscreants.
