Mangalore, October 30: Members of Communist Party of India (Marxist) staged a protest against BJP leader L K Advani's Jan Chetana Yatra, in front of Deputy Commissioner's office on Saturday, a day before Yatra enters Karnataka through Bangalore.
Addressing the gathering, CPI (M) District Secretary B Madhava said that, Karnataka State BJP government is neck deep in corruption charges including immediate past Chief Minister Yeddyurappa, Krishnaiah Shetty, Katta Subrahmanya Naidu, Gali Janardana Reddy, MLA Sampangi and their close assistants are already in jail facing serious corruption charges. The party has no morality to protest against corruption. “Advani's Yatra is nothing but ridicule of democracy,” he added.
Communist Party Leaders K R Shreeyan, Vasanth Poojari, Bhalakrishna Shetty, U B Lokayya and others were present at the protest.
