Mangalore, December 2: Mangalore MLA U T Khader has said that the Development works in his constituency have suffered hindrance duo to the delay in distribution of constituency development fund for MLAs.
Addressing a press meet at District Congress Office, here, Mr Khader alleged that the State Government has failed to keep its word under the leadership of DV Sadananda Gowda too.
“It is unfortunate that after Mr Gowda became Chief Minister no funds have been released”, he said.
Mr Khader said, though the government had promised Rs 1 crore to each MLA for development, Mangalore constituency has received only 32 lakhs rupees till the end of November in 2011-12 fund.
He also said that any action plan is not being sanctioned by the district administration apparently due to the funds.
Hence, the development works initiated in the current year, will not be accomplished by the end of March 2012, he said.
He said that Rs 5 crore have been earmarked for the development of tanks in Mangalore. However the survey conducted by Geo Tech was unscientific, he lamented.
