Mangalore, December 6: Former chief minister B S Yeddyurappa, who arrived in the city on Tuesday for the first time after being released from the prison, disappointed the dozens of media persons by ignoring them, despite the latter were eagerly waiting for him for more than one hour.
The powerful BJP leader's face turned white, when he received a cold welcome from the low profile leaders of the party. He did not utter a single word.
Unlike his previous visits none of the prominent politicians of the region including MP and MLAs were present when the first BJP Chief Minister of a southern state landed at the Maryhill helipad.
Interestingly he was accompanied by rebel-turned confident MP Renukacharya.
Soon after disembarking the helicopter, Mr Yeddyurappa walked directly towards the car, which was waiting for him amidst relatively less security.
The car moved towards Kallaka, where the former CM was scheduled to take part in ongoing Vajapeya Yagna.
It can be mentioned here that Mr Yeddyurappa has maintained a distance from media after the announcement of the results of Bellary rural constituency bypolls, where he had been portrayed as a star campaigner for BJP, whose candidate lost deposit against independent candidate B Sriramulu.
