Mangalore, December 29: In yet another act of vandalism, a group of miscreants pelted stones, broke the window panes and damaged a prayer hall belonging to a group of Christians at Haleyangadi on the outskirts of city on Wednesday night.
According to the police, a group of about 15-20 people barged into the Hebron Assembly- Pentecostal Church managed by New Life, when Pastor Prasanna was leading a prayer session. The miscreants fled the scene after pelting stones.
One of the person inside the prayer hall said that almost all of them had covered their faces with cloth.
However, no one in the hall suffered any injuries in the attack. Mulki police have visited the spot and a case has been registered.
However, window panes were smashed and many other things were were damaged in the incident. The miscreants damaged vehicles parked on the premises of prayer hall before fleeing the scene.
Mangalore city police chief Seemanth Kumar Singh and ACP Puttamadaiah visited the spot as part of investigation.
