Mangalore, December 29: Four members of Akhila Bharata Karmika Sangha (ABKS) who were on indefinite fast since last two days extending support to Anna Hazare's movement, too broke their fast in front of the Office of Deputy Commissioner here on Thursday evening.
The activists, Suddata Jain, District General Secretary of ABKS, accompanied by three other members of ABKS namely Santosh Kapthar, Raj Kulal and Chandrahasa Shetty, marched towards the Gandhi Vana near Town Hall and garlanded the statue of Mahatma Gandhi before returning to their homes.
Speaking on the occasion Sudatta Jain said that though Anna Hazare ended his fast halfway through in view of the deteriorating health, his followers could have continued it. “We question Team Anna why they called off hunger strike despite thousands of citizens were ready to continue the hunger strike,” he said.
