Mangalore, February 6: In a major goof up at Cochin International Airport, a passenger who was to board an Air India international flight to Kozhikode entered the domestic terminal after clearing the security check at the domestic terminal on Sunday afternoon.

Airport officials said the passenger had come to Kochi from Mangalore on a Kingfisher flight and was waiting at the airport to board the international flight to Jeddah via Kozhikode.

By mistake, he entered the domestic terminal and the officials there conducted the security check without checking his boarding pass.

As no announcement was made about his flight for quite some time, he checked with airport officials who found that he was at the wrong terminal. He was immediately taken to international terminal and allowed to board the flight.

Cochin Airport director A C K Nair said that an inquiry has been ordered and stern action would be taken against those who were responsible for this faux pas.
