Mangalore, February 26: Chief Minister D V Sadananda Gowda on has said that he would ask the Home Minister to look into the alleged 'fixing of cases' by Mangalore police.
The CM was replying to the queries of media persons at Mangalore Airport, on his way to Udupi, where he is expected to participate in two programmes.
When media persons brought the issue of alleged 'fixing of cases' to his mind in the back drop of police raid on a beauty parlour in the city, Mr Gowda said that Home Minister R Ashoka would intervene if there was any blunder on part of police while dealing with law and order.
It is worth mentioning here that Sathish Rai, owner of 'Moon Shine' a beauty parlour-cum-spa near Kankanady had claimed that the police raid on his parlour two weeks ago 'under the pretext of curbing illegal activities', was indeed the result of not paying 'hafta' to the Kadri police.
Meanwhile, Mangalore City Police Commissioner Seemanth Kumar Singh said that he would order an inquiry into the issue and if any policeman was found guilty, action would be taken against him.
