Mangalore, February 29: Parents by playing a major role in the education of their children can bring a positive development in them, said Mangalore MLA U T Khader.
He was speaking after inaugurating the newly extended building of Green View High School at Adkare Padpu, run by Jamiyyatul Falah.
Mr Khader said when a parent educate and train his children, he indirectly contributes towards the development of society.
He lauded the efforts of Jamiyyatul Falah for starting a school twenty years ago in a remote area like Adkare Padpu and provide all facilities for the students.
Khaleel Ahmed, President, Jamiyyatul Falah presided over the function and briefed how JF was helping the needy in the field of education and health.
He also recalled the efforts put by JF members in establishing the school and urged the local people to take care of the school assets. On a request to open PUC Section by the parents, he responded positively.
The programme was started with recitation of Quranic verses. School correspondent Ibrahim Kodijal welcomed the gathering. Saduddin Salih, BS Basheer, Nazeer Ahmed, Abdul Wahab Mukka, Yousuf, Ahmed Kunhi, Sayed Abbas were present. HM Evlin proposed vote of thanks thanked and Nusaiba compered the programme.
