Kadur, March 1: The blame game between major parties contesting Udupi-Chikmagalur bypoll has worsened with KPCC President G Parameshwar stating that there was an internal nexus between JD(S) and BJP to jointly defeat the Congress party.
Addressing the reporters in Kadur, on Wednesday he said that if JD(S) is truly against communalism then it should withdraw the nomination of Bhojegowda.
“In case JD(S) fields Bhojegowda then, it will be proved that JD(S) is with the communal BJP. The citizens are aware of the intentions of this party led by father and sons,” he said adding that the Congress is fighting against the communal forces.
He opined that if at all JD(S)'s intentions were clean then it should have tried to join hands with Congress during this polls. Instead, it has plotted against Congress to take away the votes that would be possibility cast in favour of Congress candidate.
“Even Chief Minister D V Sadananda Gowda has calculated that with JD(S) candidate in fray, the election results will be in their favour. This will never materialise,” he said. Opposition Leader S Siddaramaiah among other leaders were present at the news conference.
