Uppinangady, March 9: The prophets of Allah had tried to establish peace and order in the society by freeing it from injustice, obscenity and abuse. Muslim community has the divine duty of carrying forward this responsibility. Jamate Islami Hind has been striving to continue the same mission over the last 65 years, said Mohammed Kunhi, state secretary of Jamathe Islami Hind.

Addressing a public meeting on the premises of Masjidul Huda in Nekkiladi, he said the Dashina Kannada wing of Jamath has been conducting a campaign on the topic 'For a better nation, for a better future' to introduce the activities of the organization to the people.

Mr. Kunhi said, Jamath had chalked out a manifesto for a healthy society bereft of any evils. “Reforming the community, propagation of religion and social service are the three core areas on which Jamath focuses its activities,” he said.

The programme began with the recitation of Quranic veses by Sadeed Pakkaladka. Jamath local unit president Amin Ahsan welcomed and proposed a vote of thanks.
