Udupi, March 12: As four more days are left for election campaign, former Chief Minister BS Yeddyurappa is sure to campaign for BJP candidate in Udupi-Chikmagalur constituency, said Minister for Minor Irrigation Govinda Karajola.
Speaking to press persons here on Monday Karajola said as voters in coastal and Malnad region are very intelligent they would not go for casting their votes on the caste lines. “So it is wrong to say that in the absence of Yeddyurappa's campaign, Lingayaths voters, who form over 1.25 lakh votes, will not vote for BJP”, he added.
He alleged that in spite senior Congress leaders like Oscar Fernandies, Veerappa Moily, Mallikarjuna Kharge, SM Krishna being at the helm of affairs at the Central government, step motherly treatment is being meted out to state government.
“This election, developmental works taken up by the government in the last six months of DV Sadananda Gowda's rule will take BJP to the victory”, he added.
