Mangalore, March 12: JD (U) State president and former Minister M P Nadagouda has demanded to Chief Minister D V Sadananda Gowda to prove the support of majority MLAs at the PJP Legislative Party before presenting the budget.
Addressing the persons in Udupi on Monday, Mr Nadagouda said as over 60 BJP MLAs signed the papers opposing Sadananda Gowda's leadership, it should be proved before the budget session that CM has the right to present a budget.
Stating that JD(U) has been working out strategies to form a fourth front, he said that Congress, JD(S) and BJP which have ruled the State so far, have completely failed to meet the expectations of the people.
Mr Nadagouda said that JD (U) has already held talks with Raitha Sangha, Vatal Nagaraj and Left Parties.
“This is the right time to form an alliance with them as the Assembly polls in the State fall due in the next one and half years”, he said.
“Some of the leaders who are not happy in Congress, JD(S) and BJP may also join the fourth front”, he said adding that over 75 per cent of youth population of the State too will support the fourth front.
