Free summer cricket camp from April 9

Mangalore, March 24: The Karnataka State Cricket Association along with Royal Challenge will be conducting a free summer camp to train young boys in Cricket.

Announcing this at a press meet Dr Shrikanth Rai, President of DKCA, said the camp will begin on April 9 and end on May 25.

This free camp will also be conducted in other zones for the under-16 and under-19 boys. The selection for this camp will be held from March 25 to April 1.

The coaching camp will be held at Nehru Maidan in Mangalore, University Grounds End Point in Manipal, Kodagu Vidyalaya in Madikeri and Gonikoppa.

He said, after the selection process, there will be a year-long camp for the all the selected players.

Mr Rai said that the new ground of the District Association will be ready by May or June this year. Currently the academy has got six new turf wickets, he added. Mahabala Marla was also present at the press meet.
