Mangalore, April 15: The construction work for the Shalimar Heights, the 13 storeyed super luxury apartments, on Sturruck Road, Falnir, Mangalore, got off to a colourful start on Sunday with Mangalore MP Nalin Kumar Kateel inaugurating the project in the presence of a galaxy of dignitaries.
The project, promoted by Shalimar Builders and Promoters, involves a cluster of 2BHK and 3BHK flats on the first four floors and a plethora of duplexes on 6-8 and 10-12 floors. N.M. Salim and Associates are the architects of the project.
Speaking on the occasion Mr. Kateel expressed his happiness over Shalimar group for coming up with such a wonderful project right in the centre of the city.
Mangalore MLA U.T. Khader and former MUDA chairman Suresh K. Ballal, were the chief guests. Basheer Ahmed, Shabbir Ahmed, and Abdul Raheem (managing partners) of the Shalimar group were present.
Yusuf, father of Basheer Ahmed, G. Hussain, father of Shabbir Ahmed, were on the dais. Sahal Basheer recited verses from Holy Quran to mark the beginning of the programme. Yakub Maulvi, delivered a speech on the values of coexistence and harmony.
Sahill Zaheer, of Platform Productions, compered the programme and proposed a vote of thanks.
