The KDP meeting pertained to reviewing progress of development works in the district. President of the panchayat was the chairperson of the committee. The Chief Executive Officer of the panchayat K.N. Vijay Prakash, who is the member secretary of the committee, ordered for issuing show-cause notices to officials who did not attend the meeting on Monday.
When issues pertaining to the Revenue Department and Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana (PMGSY) were to be discussed, the authorities concerned remained absent. Following this, attendance of the officials present was taken.
The president said that since the Chief Minister hailed from Dakshina Kannada, he was concerned about the progress of works in the district.
