Job Fair begins at Car Street Govt College

Mangalore, May 15: A job fair was organized by the Government College Education Department at Government First Grade College, Car Street, in Mangalore on Tuesday.

Speaking at the formal inauguration programme, Yogish Bhat, Deputy Speaker, Karnataka Assembly, said that students must enhance their skills so that they could get better employment opportunities and lead a self-dependent life. “One must think as to how best the concepts of learning and earning could be brought together”, he said.

Mr. Bhat added that many people had begun with petty jobs and businesses but made it big later on in their lives by enhancing their skills.

Over 1,000 Job aspirants from Coorg, Udupi and Daskhina Kannada districts are taking part in the job fair.

Companies that are offering recruitment at the job fair include IT, automobile, insurance, marketing, and even local retail ones such as Big Bazaar.
