Mangalore, May 23: Hadiya Iqbal, a student of Moodbidri based Jain PU College, who had been forced to stay away from classes throughout her second year Pre University Course, felt a sense of betrayal on Wednesday, when she came to know that her result has been withheld for unknown reasons.
The 17-year-old Commerce student, who had given the admission ticket in the last moment, had been eagerly waiting for the result of her hard work.
However, a disappointment awaited the hijab-clad girl when the results of nearly six lakh PUC students from across the state went online around 1:00 pm.
When an enthusiastic Hadiya entered her exam registration number to known the result, the website of Department of PU Education, hinted that it was an invalid number. Her continuous phone calls to the office of PU Board too went unanswered.
It can be recalled here that though her College had refused to issue her the admission ticket to write the all-important examination, she had secured it in the last minute after approaching PU Board.
The admission ticket also contained a note saying: “This hall ticket is conditional, the act of the candidate appearing for the examination is subjected to the outcome of the inquiry into the circumstances of this case”.
