Mangalore, June 11: A free CET Counseling awareness programme is being organized by Career Guidance and Information Centre, Mangalore, in association with Hidayah Foundation, Mangalore.
The first session was held on Sunday which was attended by about 230 students. Sessions will be held on Tuesday and Wednesday too for 50 students in each batch. A similar programme will be organized at Udupi for students from Udupi, Kundapura and Bhatkal areas on June 16.
Umar U H, Founder Chairman, Career Guidance and Information Centre, Mangalore, who was also the resource person on the occasion, briefed the students about the complexities of CET counseling and clarified their doubts with regard to online proceedures that have been introduced by the government this year.
Clarifications and guidance on a variety of issues including availability of seats in colleges in Mangalore, date of counseling, fee structure etc were sought by students on the occasion.
U T Khader, MLA, inaugurated the programme. Saduddin M Salih, President, Jammiyatul Falah, Mangalore unit, Abid Azgar, Administrative Officer, Hidayah Foundation, B A Akbar Ali, were among the guests present on the occasion.
