Mangalore, June 19: Among the applications submitted this year for Hajj pilgrimage across the state, applications within Sl.No.880 have been disposed of and the concerned applicants are required to deposit their amounts in banks, Naqwa Yahya, DK and Udupi Hajj operations in-charge has informed.
480 applications from Dakshina Kannada district and 73 from Udupi district were disposed of in the first lottery selection phase. In the second phase, 128 applications from DK and 14 from Udupi have been selected.
The concerned applicants have already been informed about the development via mobile SMSes. Those who have received the SMSes, are required to produce the code number provided in the SMS message to SBI and deposit Rs. 51,000. They must then send the amount receipt, two photographs and passport to the Bangalore Hajj Committee office.
The third and final lottery selection round of applications will be held within 15 days, Mr. Yahya has said.
