Mangalore, June 19: The Akhila Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) has alleged that city's St. Aloysius College has meted out injustice to students.
Addressing media persons at the Press Club in Mangalore, Ramesh K, State Secretary, ABVP, alleged that the College authorities had given 'unsatisfactory' remark in the conduct certificate of a student Bindu Madhava Tilak, also an ABVP activist, just because he participated in the anti-corruption protest supporting Anna Hazare.
The College Pricipal had instructed students to not participate in the protest. The College authorites filmed the protest and harassed students who participated in it, Mr. Ramesh alleged.
He also said that the College ran a fake course without obtaining the permission from the University, charging lakhs of rupees as fees from students and has been denying them their degree. The Education Department must take action against the College, he demanded.
A protest against the College authorities to draw government's attention will also be held on Wednesday, Mr. Ramesh informed.
