Mangalore, June 21: One more person was arrested by Mangalore City Police in connection with the three-month-old murder attempt on Beary Academy President Rahim Uchil.
The accused nabbed by the sleuths of Pandeshwar Police Station on Wednesday has been identified as Abdul Salim (32), a resident of Bengre.
Mr Uchil was brutally attacked by a group of miscreants on March 15 at the Academy office in broad day light.
Nearly a week after the attack, police had arrested one Umar Farooq from Ullal. During the course of three months of inquiry into the case Salim is the second person to be arrested by police.
However, police sources said that both were not main accused.
Salim was produced before a court in the city, which remanded him to judicial custody for 15 days.
