Mangalore, July 10: The city unit of Jamiyyatul Falah, under its Student Support Scheme (SSS) distributed scholarship for poor and needy students at a programme at JF community center here recently.
In his presidential address, JF President Khaleel Ahmed urged that Muslims should send their children for higher education, so that community could produce more and more professionals.
He briefed about JF activities and its contribution to the community. “In the year 2000, JF has started this programm and extended financial assistance under SSS to more than 2000 students to complete their education” he said.
He also requested parents and students to utilise the opportunity provided to them by JF.
A sum of Rs 2 lakh distributed among 100 eligible students selected across twin districts.
Prior to the stage programme, a full day training session was organised for the students and their parents.
Jc.Krishna Mohan,Jc.Mohammad Suhan Sasthan,and Abdurrazak Ananthady, interacted with students and their parents about life skills.
JF secretary Shahul Hameed KK welcomed the gathering. JF treasurer Zameer Ambar, Kodijal Ibraheem, Sayed Abbas ,Wahab Mukka were present.
