Applications invited for Moulana Azad and Dr Iqbal awards

Mangalore, July 11: City based Learn Islam Foundation (LIF) has invited applications for 'Moulana Abul Kalam Azad' and 'Dr. Sir Allama Iqbal' awards for the year 2012.

In a press release issued here Saifuddin Kudroli, Convener, LIF, stated that economically backward Muslim students of Dakshina Kannada district who have scored highest marks in S.S.L.C. and P.U.C. exams could apply for the awards.

Moulana Azad award that consists of Rs.5000 cash prize and a certificate will be confirmed on two students who schored highest marks in S.S.L.C. (one each for a boy and a girl).

Dr Iqbal award that consists of Rs.5000 cash prize and a certificate will be confirmed on three students who scored highest marks in P.U.C. (one each for Arts, Commerce and Science streams).

Eligible candidates can apply before July 15 2012 along with the copy of the marks card and a photo to: The Convener, (Education Cell), Learn Islam Foundation, Lulu Centre, Falnir, Mangalore – 575 002.
