Uppinagady, July 16: Former Chief Minister D V Sadananda Gowda evaded questions regarding his political future saying that Bharathiya Janata Parity has given him all conceivable positions including that of CM in his political career.
Before proceeding towards Puttur to attend function at Buntara Bhavan there, Mr Gowda along with his wife visited Sri Sahasralingeshwara Temple, here and offered special prayers.
The BJP workers turn out in large numbers to accord a rousing welcome to their beloved leader in front of the Temple.
When media persons asked whether Jagadish Shettar-led government would complete its tenure, Mr Gowda said that BJP was capable of handling discontentment among party men on portfolio distribution and non-inclusion in ministry.
“Formation of full-fledged cabinet under Jagadish Shettar at one go is sign of things falling in place for the BJP”, he said.
He said that the representation to every district not possible in any ministry for it is a government for the state.
Stating that the decision on ministerial berths is sole prerogative of the CM and state party chief, Mr Gowda clarified that he did not suggest anyone's name for ministerial berth including that of Kundapur MLA Haladi Srinivasa Shetty.
He also said that he would like to thank all the party workers for their cooperation during his tenure as CM and seek god's forgiveness for mistakes if any.
