The registration for Hajj-2012 started at a camp at Old Terminal near Kenjaru, Bajpe here on Wednesday in the presence of the office-bearers of State Hajj Committee and Karnataka State Board of Wakfs.
The process of registration launched with Husainar, a farmer from Sullia, his wife Mariyamma and relatives Amina and Bifathima getting their names registered for pilgrimage.
Dozens of volunteers were assisting the pilgrims in registration process.
The camp was inaugurated with a prayer by Umar Musliar of Bajpe Juma Masjid. Later Hajj guide booklets and mobile SIMs of Saudi Arabia were distributed to pilgrims.
State Wakf Board Member and Mangalore Hajj Management Committee President Yenepoya Muhammad Kunhi, Central Hajj Committee officer Muzaffar, State Hajj Committee office bearers Fairoz Pasha, Muher Pasha were present on the occasion among others.
