Subhramanya, October 14: In order to ensure that India progresses, implementation of uniform civil code is inevitable, Kalladka Prabhakar Bhat, RSS leader, said.
He was speaking at the 'Brahat Hindu Janajagrati Samavesha' organized by Hindu Hitarakshana Vedike at Subhramanya on Saturday.
Hindu society today is facing umpteenth challenges. Attempts are being made to divide the country. The sons of this soil are today being neglected while people of foreign origin are being entertained. If at all our country has to develop, there has to be a common rule for all, Mr. Bhat said.
Stating that there is a need to put a break to 'pseudo secularism' in the country, the RSS heavyweight said that divisions of minority and majority on religious lines have harmed the interest of the nation. People engaging in religious conversions and terrorists are being supported while Hindus have no protection. There is a need to nurture unity among Hindus, he said.
In his inaugural address, Shri Vidyaprasanna Teertha Swamiji of Subhramanya Mutt, said that it is impossible for Hindus to live with 'foreigners' in India. “Our culture is like pure water and we Hindus are like fish living in it. The foreign culture is like milk. Fish cannot survive in milk”, he said.
