Speaking to mediapersons in Mangalore on Sunday, Mr. Gowda said that this will be the last attempt to retain Yeddyurappa loyalists in BJP. “They want to remain with the BJP but Mr. Yeddyurappa is pressurizing them to come to his fold. The final round of talks is being held. If they want to stay with the party, let them do so, but if not, senior party leaders must take a decision with regard to taking the next step. The confusion must end with this meeting”, Mr. Gowda said.
Maintaining that the BJP government is not any danger with the internal conflicts and the growing developments, Mr. Gowda said that some dangerous statements are being made by Mr. Yeddyurappa and his supporters.
On SM Krishna's return to the state, Mr. Gowda said that he is not going to get younger by coming back to state politics. “His return would jolt the Congress further. Siddharamaiah and Kharge groups are already insecure”, he said.
