Mangalore, November 4: A 'Private Special Economic Zone' is on its way to come up in Mangalore, meant exclusively for Information Technology.
Having got the green signal from the government, process for the setting up of the Zone has begun.
The government has provided 25 acres of land in Ganjimatt on the outskirts of Mangalore to a private company. Leveling of land and construction of compound wall work is going on. In two months the construction work of the Information Technology building will begin.
The building is slated to come up at an area of 3 lakh square feet. A separate building to provide basic facilities will be set up wherein restauarant, bank, ATM, post office, market, general store and similar such facilities will be provided. Prominent IT companies are likely to set up their centres here.
IT companies that will come up in this Private Special Economic Zone will be given concession on tax by the government. All required licences for setting up of companies will be provided under single window provision.
Bangalore's popular construction company Brigade Group will set up this Private Special Economic Zone. Within 60 days, the company is looking to begin the construction work of the building. Brigade Group has offices in Bangalore, Dubai, US and Mangalore.
