Talents exhibited at Konkani programme in Pune

Pune, November 26: Konkan Sabha of Jnana- Deepa Vidyapeeth (JDV) organized a variety entertainment programme on Sunday at Papal Seminary hall, Pune.

Priests, nuns, and brothers who are the members of JDV Konkan Sabha exhibited their talents through various programmes.

Members of the Mangalorean Catholic Association, Pune, also put on display their performances. A documentary on Konkani culture, Dulpodam, Dekhni, Mando/Baila, musical concert and mime titled 'You are the light of the world' were the highlights of the day.

Noted Konkani writer Isidore Dantas was the chief guest. He appreciated the Konkani culture and thanked JDV Konkani Sabha for helping to keep Konkani alive through various activities.

The President of JDV Konkani Sabha, Br Anthony D'Souza, SJ welcomed the gathering. The Animator of JDV Konkani Sabha, Fr Henry D'Almeida, SJ also spoke on the occasion. A Souvenir, which comprises the articles written by priests, brothers, sisters and other well-wishers and the names of the sponsors of the programme was released by Fr Vincent Crasta, SJ. Sr Monica Cardoza and Fr Ivan D'Souza compered the programme. The Cultural coordinator of JDV Konka Sabha Br Joyson Vas, SJ thanked the gathereing. Many Konkani speaking people and the well-wishers gathered and added flavour to the programme.
