Rotary Club of Mangalore South holds peace and communal harmony meet

Mangalore, November 26: Rotary Club of Mangalore South in association with Rotary Club of Aleppy East (Kerala) organized an Inter-Dist Joint Meeting on Sunday at Hotel Moti Mahal, Mangalore to promote peace and communal harmony among the Rotarians.

 

President of R.C. Mangalore South Rtn. Gurudas karkera welcomed all the 35 Rotarians of R.C. Aleppy East and exchanged the club flag and memento with the R.C. Aleppy East President Rtn. Joseph Antharapur to mark the occasion. Both the Presidents presented a brief report on their community development oriented projects and activities. Later, guest President as a part of gesture, invited all the Mangalore Rotarians to pay a visit to R.C. Aleppy East at their convenient time.

 

The Asst Governor Rtn. Sadashiva Shetty in commemoration of this event released a club bulletin “Rotarose” edited by Rtn. Nandini Raghuchandra and later inducted a new member Suresh Holla to the club.

 

Aleppy, Kerala based Asst Governor of R.I.Dist.3211 Rtn. Suresh Joseph was the chief guest on this occasion.

 

R.C. Mangalore South President Elect Rtn. Jagadish Shetty, Past President Rtn. Satish Bolar were present on this occasion. Secretary Rtn. Jagadish proposed a vote of thanks. This joint meeting was coordinated by Rtn. K.S. Chacko.

 

Later, visually impaired students of Annapoorneshwari Arts School, Sirsi presented a musical programme.
