Belthangady, November 28: Following the rumour that Moists were found at Urbili Gudde, the Anti-Naxal Force and the police rushed to the spot, to find two missing boys, staying in a tent inside the forest.

Based on a tip off that the Maoists are inside the forest, the ANF was carrying out combing operations inside the forest at Charmadi, situated a few kilo meters away from Charmadi on Ujire-Chikmangalur road.

As soon as the boys saw ANF team, they fled the spot. However, they were later caught by the residents and handed them over to the police.

The ANF team had found clothes, food grains, chicken, utensils and plates inside the tent.

It was said that the boys went missing from November 25. They were studying in eighth and fourth standards.

As the two were not interested to go to the schools, they left their homes without informing the parents and started staying inside the forest.

They had taken rice, utensils, and plates from their houses.

ANF Commandant Alok Kumar and SP Abhishek Goyal had visited the spot. ANF Commandant said that the boys have been handed over to their parents.

“The boys were innocent and do not have any connection with the Maoists,” he said.
