Mangalore, November 28: Within few hours after the incident, police have solved the murder case of a chicken stall worker, whose body had been found near a chicken stall at stall Durganagar, Yekkar on Tuesday.

A 32-year-old man identified as Kiran, was arrested by the police in connection with murder of Siddappa from Bhadravati, who was working at a chicken stall.

According to the case registered at Bajpe police station, the victim Siddappa and his friend Shivananda had gone to sleep in his room on Monday night, however, he was found in a pool of blood on Tuesday morning. The body had deep wounds on the neck, head and limbs.

Bajpe police rushed to the spot along with the dog squad and managed to crack the case just hours after the incident.

Police sources said the accused Kiran has also worked at the chicken centre but was suspended five years ago.

A misunderstanding between the accused and the victim caused them to fight on Monday night and Kiran allegedly murdered Siddappa with the help of his friend Shivananda. Shivananda is absconding, sources said.
