Mangalore, December 4: Activists of Democratic Youth Federation of India staged a flash protest in front of a police station, here after one of their activists was reportedly dragged to the station by a constable for asking him not to create problem to the movement of traffic in Bunder on Monday.
Muneer Katipalla, District Secretary of DYFI said that activist Dayanand was dragged to the station by constable Pradeep.
He said that the movement of traffic was blocked for a while in Bunder because of haphazard parking of vehicles. Mr. Pradeep arrived at the spot on his motorcycle and then got involved in directing motorists in clearing the traffic.
Mr. Dayanand asked Mr. Pradeep to keep aside his vehicle that was blocking traffic.
An enraged Mr. Pradeep took Mr. Dayanand to the police station.
Pradeep and other police personnel threatened to file a case against the activist.
