The booklet has been brought out by the Central Committee of KKSV.
Speaking at a press conference, KKSV state president Suresh Bhat Bakrabail said that the people had to be made aware of the devious actions of the BJP over the past five years, such as assault on minorities, false cases on progressive journalists, oppression of women and raising issues on cow slaughter. “The organisation requests the voters to oppose the Fascist BJP and thereby preserve the communal harmony in the region,” he said.
KKSV state secretary K L Ashok said that the four-and-a-half year rule of the BJP had seen the worst of incidents taking place in Karnataka. The BJP has played foul during its administration to a great extent. “Using its infamous 'Operation Lotus', the BJP has been the sole cause for communal clashes and rioting in several regions, and has succeeded in disrupting the communal harmony in the state. People of the state should send a stern warning to the treacherous party by not voting them to power,” he said, calling on people to completely oppose the party in the elections to be held on May 5.
He said that the Vedike was solely against the BJP, as it was a communal party that was backed by the Sangh Parivar and followed extreme rightwing agenda. Its anti-people policies led to the oppression of minorities, women and Dalits. “Even the opposing political party may be corrupt, but it is better to opt for a lesser criminal party than the BJP,” he said.
