U T Khader is a man with a difference. Unlike his counterparts, Mr Khader does not wait for herd of supporters. With his driver and an assistant Mr Khader sets out of his house early in the morning to meet the voters. By the end of the day, he has a trail of cars and followers following him in the remotest of the areas that he goes.
On Thursday, he covered Thumbe, Jokatte, Maripalla, Ullal-Kinya, Kuthubnagar, Ukkuda, Talapady areas.
During the door-to-door campaign too Mr Khader brings loads of enthusiasm along and sees to it that the party workers too have high spirits. Cuddling little kids and bowing his head in respect to elders, he introduces himself seeking votes for his party.
Most unique aspect of Mr Khader's campaigning is that he never resorts to bad-mouthing about his opponents or their parties.
Straight and simple, Mr Khader says, “I am the Congress candidate and our symbol is hand. Remember our symbol and cast vote.”
In Kinya, a majority say that Mr Khader has changed the face of the region. Water to roads, the two-time MLA has brought about massive development. During the meeting of the Youth Congress at Kinya, Mr Khader urged the members to work for him for ten days and then he would work for them for the next five years.
He has also cautioned the voters about the rumours that his opponents are floating and also about the independent and petty candidates fielded by his opponents only to eat away his traditional votes.
Mr Khader has told the voters of his constituency that he is in front of them seeking votes on the basis of his work.
