Cong workers in Mangalore celebrate as Siddu declared CM

Mangalore, May 10: The District Congress Committee office wore a festive look on Friday soon after the announcement of selection of Siddaramaiah as 28th Chief Minister of Karnataka.

The party workers and admirers of Siddaramaiah distributed sweets in Mangalore.

They trouped outside the premises of the office located on Hampankatta road here and burst crackers and launched themselves in a spontaneous dance.

They expressed happiness over the selection of a man from Kuruba community for the top job.

They also raised slogans in favour of Sonia Gandhi, Rahul Gandhi and the party.

Welcoming the selection of Siddaramaiah, Former Mayor K Ashraf said that he was an able leader. The state would witness overall development under Siddaramaiah's leadership.
